Creative concepting via mood boards
Creative concepting is one of my favorite stages in any process. It’s messy, fun, and intentionally exploratory—the place where great ideas begin to take shape. For every website project, that journey starts with a moodboard: a visual collage of images, text, colors, and graphics arranged much like a Pinterest board. Moodboards translate high-level ideas into a visual language by pulling directly from your brand, helping define the project’s overall direction or “mood.” I typically create multiple boards to explore a range of directions and understand how far the client is excited to push their brand, ultimately establishing the guardrails we’ll use throughout the project.
